Emad Najafidehaghani

is a Ph.D. candidate at FSU Jena, who is working on growth of 2D materials and integrating them on to novel applications. His background as an electrical engineer promotes him as an expert to bring 2D materials to integrate into electronic devices, for example, creating the thinnest possible LED from 2D materials, ultra-sensitive photodetectors, ultra-thin solar cells, memtransistors, high-performance transistors and Quantum Hall devices. His know-how in semiconducting engineering can benefit the development of TMD integration into the conventional CMOS technology. He has an experienced background in the field of programming [e.g. Labview, C] and working with different sorts of microcontrollers [such as ARM, AVR, FPGA], which is suitable for automation and software programming. Additionally, he has participated in the design and development of CVD/MOCVD equipment during his Ph.D. research.

Antony George

is a senior researcher with significant experience in material science, nanofabrication, deposition techniques and electronic/optoelectronics devices. He has spent more than 10 years working with the development of growth processes of 2D materials and integrating the 2D materials into various applications in electronic, optoelectronic, photonic and energy technology. Now he is a group leader at FSU Jena leading the activities on 2D materials production, characterization and applications. He has significant experience in leading and coordinating research and development activities with a multidisciplinary team of Ph.D., master and bachelor level students. His expertise in the development of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) processes, design and construction of CVD/MOCVD equipment will bring the know-how in Ucyborg university for the design and development of the growth techniques as well as the optimization of the growth process. Furthermore, he has significant experience in material characterization as well as nanofabrication.

Ziyang Gan

is a Ph.D. candidate with a background in Material Science and Engineering at FSU Jena. His research interest mainly focuses on the growth and applications of ultrathin 2D materials in electronics, optoelectronics, and energy devices. Over the past 8 years, he has been involved in diverse research topics ranging from aerospace materials through physical metallurgical engineering to semiconductor materials. He spent more than 2 years at Central South University, China as a technician of electron microscopes and as an operator of many high-technology instruments. He has hands-on experience in research transfer and technology start-up running. His expertise in theoretical and experimental knowledge of ultrathin film deposition, CVD/MOCVD equipment construction, and semiconductor device characterization will bring the know-how to Ucyborg university for the development of 2D semiconductor materials.
